Network Installation

Network installation is simply the case of extracting the EDT files to a shared network folder on your organisation's network.

Download

The latest general release can be obtained from the lean Downloads page.

Create Network folder

Create a Network Shared Folder, or create a sub directory in an existing network share.

Set the permissions to share with Everyone.

Note that each task can be assigned access restrictions by NT User name or NT User Group membership within the EDT task configuration.

Extract

Extract all files to new Network Shared Folder.

Workstation Registration

When running EDT for the first time from a workstation, you will be prompted to enter the email address you used to register with LeanSoftware.net.

Task Administration

To get started, the first thing you will need to do is configure an EDT task.

Select 'New' from the Task drop down.

You will be prompted for the task Administrator password - the default password is lean
